About the NC Ellis Cannady Chapter of IAEI

We are a chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI). The IAEI promotes uniform understanding and application of the National Electrical Code to enhance safe installation and use of electricity.  The Chapter was organized in 1930 by N. Ellis Cannady, Sr.  He served as the Chapter's first Chairman from 1930-1967.  As a tribute to his leadership, the Chapter was renamed the Ellis Cannady Chapter in 1956.  In 1983, North Carolina was added to the Chapter name to become North Carolina Ellis Cannady Chapter.
